     On May 27, Nizhny Novgorod celebrated the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture. The welcoming speech was delivered by Governor Valery Shantsev and Metropolitan of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas Georgy. The program of the event included master classes in needlework and calligraphy, classes at the School of Slavic Languages, traditional folk entertainment for children and adults, performance of professional artists and much more.

All day long the fair "The City of Masters" was working in the park, where craftsmen from Nizhny Novgogrod  presented products and object of folk arts and crafts.
